Subhrendu is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the CSE Department at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala. In his previous assignment at Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Hyderabad he was working as a co-investigator of the project titled "5G Use Cases Lab For Banking and Financial Services Industies (BFSi)". Additionally, he was the co-ordinator of "Network Innovation Lab (NIL@IDRBT)"[1]. He also had worked as an Assistant Professor at SRM University, AP. Before joining SRM, Subhrendu has worked as a Temporary project staff at IIT Kharagpur under the mentorship of Dr. Sandip Chakraborty. He completed his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) and his thesis is titled "SDN for Large Scale IoT Networks". During his Ph.D. he has been working under the supervision of Prof. Sukumar Nandi and the mentorship of Dr. Sandip Chakraborty. Subhrendu received his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the IITG in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Sukumar Nandi. Subhrendu's research interests include Serverless computing, Software Defined Networking, Distributed Algorithms, Performance Modelling and improvement of Network and Communication System and Wireless Mesh Network. Currently he is exploring (a). Vulnerability analysis from System Logs, (b) Pluginized network protocols and it's management, (c) Performance enahancements of UPI using DPU, and (d). Orchestration and slicing issues in 5G.
